A five-star hotel, Telegraph, has opened in the historic center of Tbilisi, offering guests an exceptional atmosphere, refined design spaces, and top-quality innovative service.

The hotel’s updated design was developed by Neri&Hu, one of the world’s leading architectural studios, with extensive experience in architectural and design projects of various scales across many countries, including the restoration of historic buildings. The studio has received numerous prestigious international awards.

The original architects of the former Central Telegraph building are Lado Alexi-Meskhishvili and Teimuraz Mikashavidze. The building’s reconstruction preserved its historical appearance and, beyond its excellent design, incorporates green, energy-efficient solutions, a defining feature of the renovated structure and a key criterion in evaluating the quality of modern buildings.

The new hotel includes 239 rooms in nine different categories, seven restaurants with unique concepts, a jazz club, a bar, and banquet and conference halls. The investment in the reconstruction of the Telegraph amounted to €65 million, supported by two of the country’s largest banks — TBC Bank and Bank of Georgia.

Telegraph is the first hotel in the region to join The Leading Hotels of the World, a global organization of top-tier hotels, marking the introduction of the highest international hospitality standards to Georgia. The Telegraph’s renovation is a key part of the broader development concept for Republic Square.
